The day has finally come, Olive will be starting Kindergarten next month. We decided on homeschool because both Dennis and I work from home and we think homeschool is the best fit for our family. Even though we are doing homeschooling we didn’t realize how much budgeting and planning it really entails.

I’ve already been getting a lot of questions about the cost of everything and I’m answering some questions here to help other moms and dads plan ahead.
- What are the things you consider when you’re creating a budget for the back-to-school season? What are the steps you take when creating a budget?
Step 1: Make A List-
When creating a back-to-school shopping budget I made a list of priority things I need for Olive, like school supplies and books and since she is being homeschooled instead of paying for uniform, backpack and shoes I listed a work desk, whiteboard and other supplies Olive needs.
Step 2: Check Your Budget-
Write down your budget and be realistic with what you can afford and what you can save up to buy. Sometimes you don’t need to buy everything at once and try buying as needed.
Step 3: Shop Around For The Best Deals-
You can save a lot of money when buying your items online and during sales. I always have items in my cart and when they go on sale I buy them. Just remember to shop around to see who has the best deals.

- What takes up most of the budget during this time? How do you ensure that you have enough to purchase other necessities for back-to-school season?
What takes up most of the budget for us is books and school supplies. To make sure we have enough money allocated to buy all our necessary items is we save ahead of time, little by little. Honestly it can be extremely overwhelming and stressful buying all these things and if money is tight for you right now I suggest HOME CREDIT you can get a cash loan with fast approval online.
